Chouzhong
Fall has made me super lazy about taking outfit photos and posting them so I'm digging through my travel photos to find some to post. I came across the ones that were taken while my family and I were in Chouzhong in September for a brief day trip. The traditional boat ride (cost: 80 rmb) was the highlight for me and we certainly took full tourist advantage and documented as many photos as possible. The boat pilot (?) sang traditional chinese songs for tips while we floated along the river, it was all quite lovely. As for my outfit, I am wearing a Marc by Marc Jacobs tunic, zipper leggings from Urban Outfitters, a jacket from H&M, and the Deena & Ozzy shoes. The darkness of this outfit really matched the gloomy weather. The parasol was purchased that day - I somehow coerced my aunt into getting it with me as a photo prop.

Quick Update from Hong Kong
Outfit details:
Dress - Vintage (40 South St.)
Socks - From a boutique in Japan
Shoes - Madewell
Cardigan - Madewell
Bag - H&M
Hong Kong. Pics of what I wore last night to dinner and dessert at Hui Lao Shan. I would have normally eaten mango desserts but I chose a melon one instead due to my skin allergy. I gobbled up the melon balls, red beans, tapioca pearls, and fresh peaches on top of the melon ice cream! The weather is awful today due to the monsoon warnings - definitely not in Boston anymore! Gotta leave now!
french quarter on foot
Outfit details:
Military shirt - LF Boutique
Floral jumper - Urban Outfitters
Socks - American Apparel
Sunnies - Rayban
Shoes - Deena & Ozzy
Bag - H&M
The hottest day of our trip to New Orleans called for the skimpiest one piece in my suitcase - this cute floral jumper. The bottom part is sewn with a 'fake' shirt layer covering over the shorts giving off the illusion that I am wearing a mini dress. With the unpredictability of the changing weather, I grabbed a shirt to throw over my arms and an umbrella for the sudden dash of rain. That day we spent hours walking on a voodoo history tour, which was the best 3 hours spent during the trip. Our tour guide was well informed and I learned a lot about the history of voodoo, jazz origins, and the mysticism of the city.

Harmonica
Outfit details:
T-shirt - T by Alexander Wang
Shorts - Levi's reconstructed
Flats - Steve Madden
Bag - Urban Outfitters
Hat - Brixton
Vest - Urban Renewals from UO
Necklace - Flea Market
These pictures are part deux of the Bloglovin' challenge that I would have entered had I not stupidly forgotten. This was my original intention of a Kate Moss-bad-girl inspired look with my bowler hat, levi's cutoffs, and drapey fitted tee, which all remind me of elements in Kate's inimitable style. Anyway, my favorite part of my outfit is the necklace, which is made with a real vintage harmonica! I found it at a booth stand when I went to the Rock & Roll yard sale in Somerville last month. There were three unique ones and after picking this one up several times, walking away to go sift through vinyl records, and dragging my boyfriend back to this stand...I decided to get it. I love playing it and surprising strangers when they hear the loud but simple tunes. Oh, the little things in life.

Charlie Chaplin Meets Kate Moss
Outfit details:
Jacket - H&M
Shorts with belt - Zara
Top - American Apparel
Bag - Madewell
Shoes - Deena & Ozzy
Hat - Brixton
I was going to enter in the "Embrace Your Inner Bad Girl" contest via Bloglovin' a few weekends ago with this outfit that I wore, but knowing me I completely forgot to submit my photos by the deadline! Oooh, me. I kind of went for Kate Moss as my inspiration but I ended up looking more Charlie Chaplin inspired (haha), especially with the bubble umbrella. It was a little chilly on that day so I threw the H&M jacket on and voila - that was my outfit. Thanks to my boyfriend for helping me take these photos! I am still obsessed with this hat so you'll probably get tired of seeing it so much ♥

LUST FOR STORETS
oxford jazz shoes, patent hiking walker boots, crack effect cross belted walker heeled boots, skull embossed backpack (from top to bottom, all in black)
images all from Storets.com
Two words: SICK/BAD ASS
I haven't seen anything so killer and attention-grabbing in a while. Just discovered Storets recently, which appears to be a Korean site, but all of these are under $100 so paying for the extra international shipping isn't as heartbreaking. Note on the backpack: it can be worn slung over one shoulder.
After my trip to New Orleans this weekend, you know what I'll be doing.

Brixton Fedora/Bowler
Outfit details: Fedora, Brixton (mens), t-shirt, Urban Outfitters from a few years ago, shorts, BDG, shoes, Jeffrey Campbell via LF
I was playing around with my new hat and shoes in my messy room. I had been looking for a black bowler type hat for a loooong time and stumbled upon this gem in the men's section of Urban Outfitters last Friday. They had two Medium sizes left...and I suppose it is a blessing that my head is big enough to fit it. I am in love with it! It only left my head this past weekend when I had to go to sleep! ♥
I am pretty terrible at taking outfit photos by myself so apologies for the poor lighting and awkward poses. I will try to get some better pictures of these shoes--there's a silver zipper all down the back, it's sick!
